the Euro-trip in My 30’s

Sunday, March 31, 2024

Welcome to my first entry of the year! 5 months after, and I have finished written this blog entry—I know it’s been long and outdated yet I guess that’s just how eventful the past year went for me!😅 I had a new job, re-located to another place then went back to Philippines for the holidays. And I've been writing this bit by bit as the weeks gone by. But as I promised, I’ll aim to write in current time this year. 🤞🏻
(02OCT24) Moving on, I went on a 14-day Euro trip with my parents and colleagues on my birthday last October! Thanks to Europamundo for hosting this trip; The travel agency offers Euro tours in various group packages good for family or for a company trip. It’s my first interconnecting tour across Europe as we went to 4 countries and about 10 cities which was tiring but an adventure of a lifetime. Though, the whole route of the journey was spectacular despite hectic transport changes by land and air.

Nevertheless, here’s a highlight of how our trip went! I suppose this entry might sound like my travel diary but I hope you’d learn something from it 😄

2021 MEMORIES

Thursday, December 30, 2021

Twenty-twenty ONE thing’s for sure: that this year has been a lot better than the previous despite how COVID continues to evolve its variants. But as least now we are on the verge of getting fully-vaxxed and boosted on the way to normalcy!

Here’s to share my annual highlights in a year of face coverings (and lateral flow tests) ;p

#CLOYtober 2.0

Saturday, November 13, 2021

Another month of creativity begins as #CLOYTOBER had its second run hosted by @cloysauce. It’s a BinJin fan event in which the fandom showcases CLOY-inspired content based on a day-to-day prompt. There's a twist this time in which the prompts were abstract words compared from the previous year. Despite the challenge, a lot of fans on Twitter still managed to join and I really enjoyed seeing everyone’s entries! It mostly took me back down memory lane about BinJin’s loveable moments in CLOY as such an event fills in the content drought. I loved how every fan had their own unique ways to execute the prompts through either arts or literary works. 🖤

While for me, I offered my usual serves of random chibi arts. Honestly, I was silently ranting the first time I saw the prompts because the words were too broad; To my mind, I was like, how do you make an art out of ‘green’? ’letter’? ’remedy’? then associate it with CLOY? wtf?! Just kidding. Never had I really expect that I miraculously created something out of it and the mere fact that all of my entries were chibis since I’m no fic writer, poet, musician, etc. lol. So let me share how I arrived with such ideas per entry. But wait---why and how did I start with chibi arts?!

(More) BinJin Musings

Friday, May 28, 2021

I’m back in the blogging zone. Definitely, long time no update though I’m often active to my socmed accounts for my chibiarts and #OOTD’s ;D But finally, this most overdued entry is up!

Let me recap the swarm of BinJin contents with my own two cents as the fandom suddenly experienced drought season (again)---WELL, NOT UNTIL their dog, "kitty" had made its debut in the public eye. Haha! She is one, cute lucky maltese 🖤  Talking back about the drought, I believe this is more tolerable than before since at least now there are no second guesses about their status and surely, they will bounce back together, right? And if they do, will we even be ready? ;)

#SuitFitCupid x #CLOYCYCLE Recap

Tuesday, April 20, 2021

This girl has been so pre-occupied with her chibiarts that she forgot about her blog. Lol, my apologies! 🙈 My blogdrafts have been on queue since I finished my previous entry but apparently, I was really busy with work as usual; Oftentimes, I take my artworks as a form of ARTherapy during my days off. There were a lot of BinJin inspos from their new contents so my urge to draw out of my random box went endless 😝

So in the meantime, here's a filler blog entry about the past 2 events from the fandom's twitter hub. February's #SuitFitCupid was about creating CLOY/BinJin contents from song lyrics/movie prompts suggested by fellow fans while March' #CLOYCYCLE took down memory lane of previous tweets based on the prompts per day. I got to say that the first event was more challenging for depicting artworks from dialogues. Though I'm glad my BinJin chibis were able to pull through some of it! Special thanks again to @cloysauce for always organizing such events. These truly keeps the CLOY/BinJin fandom alive 🖤

My 'Business Class' Diary

Monday, March 1, 2021

(28Jan21)The day has cometh and I really hate to leave my hometown yet 😞 It truly breaks my heart to be away again from my family. Let alone, the feeling is similar to Yoon Seri who can only see RJH every 2 weeks/year in Switz (whereas for me is a family matter). But life is not all glitter and pink clouds--we have to wake up and face the harsh reality. And so, I'm back in Londres. Everything felt like being back to square one. Likewise, I'm in the midst of nursing my jetlag soul with a pinch of homesickness as I write this blog. Nevertheless, let me cut off my lamentations now. I believe that this will just take time and I will get through this.

Anyway! Even if I carry a heavy heart of travelling back to this country, I had an interesting flight with a Dubai layover and a first to be in business class. 🙈💖
I am no chaebol or a flighty heiress but things just happened that way after getting my full refund from my cancelled flights. Plus, I needed extra storage for the bulk of my baggage (clothes, BinJin merch, pinoy stuff, etc). Hence, here's my experience to travel like a boss lady and a little guide for OFW's who'll be going back to the UK from Manila. **note: I couldn't share my process of LHR to MNL anymore 'cause the protocols have changed since my arrival there last December

Happy BinJin Year

Friday, February 5, 2021

I know this has been long and overdued because of how busy I really became during my vacation. So, my apologies! This post turned from a part 2 up to a throwback New Year's Day post! Nevertheless, it's a great feeling to reminisce that moment in which I would loved to live it all over again. Anyhow, here it goes...
Indeed, it was a happy new year to my personal but most especially, to my fan girl life. 🖤 Who would have thought that my favorite loveteam will give out their much-awaited confirmation on the first day of the year?! And it was even Son Yejin's birthmonth so, wow. Just WOW. 😍 Hence, let me write my full thoughts of it since I believe a tweet won't be enough to celebrate this BinJin milestone. And as I drabble up, be informed that my mind's on BinJin high yet these are not delusional anymore but my pure 2 cents! ;)

Throwback #CLOYtober

Monday, November 16, 2020

My birthmonth has been blessed with overflowing BinJin contents together with the fandom's socmed event entitled, #Cloytober. Organized by @cloysauce who's currently behind the works of a #serihawky twitterserye, the event has brewed up the creativity of the whole fandom through graphics, artworks or written pieces throughout the day-to-day prompts. 🖤

Thus, I would like to share my compilation of entries with little concept backstories. Truly, I tried to make every piece as meaningful as how CLOY & BinJin became my inspiration. ;)

Hyun Bin Filmography

Friday, September 25, 2020

I won't definitely let Son Yejin's other half left behind!---and yes, 'her other half'. 😜 Whether you're a BinJin stan or not, I would claim them either way because they are a showbiz couple--is the confirmation coming anytime soon? ;) Anyhow! Here's my 2 cents of all Hyun Bin's films over his past 17 years in the entertainment industry. I didn't expect that he only got a few movies back then as I think that he might've invested more on drama series. Nonetheless, I got to say that his works are merely on the action/drama genre and SYJ was on point in commending this handsome oppa that he always has a sweet, calming tone on his action film roles.😆

Here are his lead act projects (in chronological order as usual to prevent from being biased!). Expect some CLOY and Yejin-related bits as you read along--my BinJin fan heart couldn't help it while I was working on this ;p
DISCLAIMER: all thoughts are of my own.

9/10: Something In The Rain

Saturday, July 18, 2020

Annyeong! Here's another Kdrama series that I've watched during my quarantine period last April entitled, "Something In The Rain" (Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food). It's a 2018 drama starred by Son Ye jin and Jung Hae-In.

Truth be told, I had moments of having second emotions for this especially after seeing the trailer. In fact, I wouldn't bother to watch this if it really wasn't for SYJ! 😅 Though as usual, some of my friends from the fandom urged me to watch and finish it ('cause I almost gave up after 2 episodes, I'm sorry 🙃) so I did. In conclusion, I find the story beautiful with its real-life events and it will really make you fall in love just like what they said on their promotional events 🖤 Intricate as it seems but there's a subtle reason why they put on an old girl-young guy relationship ;)

There might be negativity as you read along but keep in mind that these are purely my own thoughts (from a solid BinJin fan).

My 2 Cents of BinJin

Thursday, June 25, 2020

My fangirl heart has come beating again---surprisingly, it's due to K-DRAMA and it's Hyun Bin&Son Yejin to be specific.🖤

I wanted to share this because these 2 people brought a positive omen to me during the peak of COVID19 when there was global lockdown plus my stressful job as a medical frontliner. Since then, I gave in to watching "Crash Landing On You"(CLOY) until my obsessions went on a roll. Consequently, the RiRi Couple unexpectedly became my happy pill. 🖤

This post contains how I gave my free will to support them including the fan group that I joined, what I know and my thoughts about them as close friends.

NOTE: Please bear with my delusional fangirl blurbs as you read along. All thoughts are of my own

the COVID19 Lockdown Itinerary

Wednesday, May 6, 2020

Tell me, is this gonna be, "wake me up when COVID19 ends"?!

2020 has been very peculiar that taught us new vocabularies such as enhanced quarantine, lockdown, frontliner, social distancing and the massive use of PPE (personal protective equipment). It felt like we are all living in a Big Brother house as we have to stay indoors in a certain point of time. As a healthcare professional, I got to say this virus is really contagious which keeps our work nerve-wrecking in the hospital lately. Aside from the lack of PPE, there's understaffing that leads to burnout so the probability of being infected is high. So lets cooperate with our national policies to #STAYATHOME. Personally, I still feel a pang of disappointment with my cancelled travel plans due to this outbreak. It made me stay here in London for the longest period already which lingers my homesickness ;( Hence, I figured to create a lockdown itinerary instead! Truly, there's more than just an "eat-sleep-repeat" routine at home 😜

10/10: Crash Landing On You

Sunday, April 5, 2020

Disclaimer: All thoughts are of my own.

I hope everyone’s safe in this time of a pandemic! Let us follow the quarantine policies of our country to end the spread of COVID19. It does get boring to be on house arrest for quite a while whereas for me, working in the hospital has been very stressful with a 50:50 chance of getting the strain ;( Understaffed, lack of supplies and the increasing number of affected patients---so please STAY AT HOME.Take the opportunity to rest and may we all pray for better days ✨

Honestly, my whole March hasn't really been good having some travel plans cancelled and other personal issues.Hence, in order to divert myself from such misery, I went 'Netflix and chill' on my break and one of the shows that I end up watching is "Crash Landing On You".

NB:I rarely watch K-dramas as I find it cheesy/'pabebe';
Majority of my friends and family strongly urged me to see this show and at first, I was disgusted that I vowed not to watch it as it was very mainstream. I just even asked for the full plot-all spoilers which I found interesting. So once upon a miserable day, I gave in to watch the series---and they have captured my heart. ;p

A Princess Diary Comeback in London

Monday, August 19, 2019

This might be an all-narrative entry for now because I don’t have a PC/laptop to edit my stuff :( I hope I get to buy one soon—when ze budget comes!Hehe. Anyway, I flew to London last March for career purposes. It’s supposed to be ecstatic for me but the thought of being away from my family is utter sadness.Though on a lighter note, all is currently well! It just takes a mindset of being in a long solo travel alongside work and that I have to live independently in which adulting strikes. Truly, the struggle is real! I never thought that half of my life here would be very domesticated.
In this entry, I’ll be sharing my own “British Starter Pack” and how I cope over the past few months. ;)

Japan Tales: Winter at Mt.Fuji

Tuesday, March 26, 2019

03JAN19 My family and I went on another Mt. Fuji day tour courtesy of H.I.S Japan Local Tour. This was our 2nd time to embark on this snowy mountain yet what's more exciting is that we're going here for the winter experience! You may check out Tokyo (Part2) about my trip to Mt.Fuji's 5th station.

#2018Recap

Monday, December 31, 2018

Let me just say, that my year was filled with a lot of plot twists. I have revisited some Asian countries and had situations that I never thought would happen.Though I became idle for the second half, I didn't find it regretful as I was able to spend more time with my family and friends before leaping to the next step of my career. We all deserve to take a break once in a while; in fact, my lax months kept me busy besides gym and travelling. ;) So here are my top 10 moments that I’d loved to repeat all over again.

A day at USJ!

Tuesday, June 12, 2018

I have conquered another visit to another Universal Studio branch and this time,it's the one in Osaka! This is actually one of the reasons why my family wanted to go in the said area of Japan because of its breathtaking attractions (which I should say, more unique than in Singapore). But I enjoyed both of it so much (you could read my USSG experience HERE) that I will recommend either of those to be seen!So here's a recap of my tour to USJ.

Japan Tales: To Sakuras and Namba foodtripping.

Thursday, May 10, 2018

I'm back in Japan and it came in early as 1)I'm travelling with my family and 2) We finally made it to cherry blossom season! :D God knows how much I have fought at work to get my VL's approved this month (especially the fact that unexpectedly, I got transferred at the adult ER..but lets not talk about that for now.Haha). Our departure flight had a stop-over in Taiwan which got me more excited even if we just stayed there for an hour (and we were only inside the airport!). Yet I still find it thrilling and definitely got my hopes up that this will be my next trip soon! *fingers crossed* Though I have other Asian countries in mind to visit for the next quarter..hmm. ;)

(040218) "Will you be my WITNESS?"

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

I have never thought that I will STILL have the chance to watch Katy Perry inspite my very busy schedule ('career burnouts' perhaps); In fact, I was quite decided that I might really miss her concert this time 'cause I honestly couldn't afford the tickets even if i can save money for it after being on sale 5 months ago(yep, buying concert tickets on the first day is not my thing. I usually buy when it's about to be sold out!Haha!). I even slashed my idea of trying to get an M&G pass 'cause I'm losing my chances of purchasing a ticket.I joined several online contests as well but it brought me no luck. ;( Yet, coincidentally my day off from work landed on a Monday (April 2nd) since I was assigned to work during the Lenten holidays. So that whole time got me thinking: "should I go to her concert?"
Pardon me for a long foreword before I tell about the entire concert. This just means so much to me that in my language, it was 'biglaan at its finest'.Haha! Anyway, I already have my own duties on that day and none of it was to go to the concert. But apparently that time, I was scrolling for updates on the KatyCats' group until I saw people selling their tickets for a very cheap price!

I even posted my thoughts on Twitter that moment as I felt sick of having second thoughts of going to the event. However, I couldn't bring myself to pack my gym stuff anymore so my decision: I CANNOT MISS THIS CONCERT. To my mind, it'll be another 3yrs before she comes back here again so I'd go for it and tried to bargain the ticket.(nope,i didn't take that 7K offer.I bought it from someone else and I settled for a lowerbox A seat).I took the risk of commuting from my hometown to Mall of Asia for the first time alone and when I got there to meet the seller, I was shookt when he suddenly said "Miss,VIP nalang tong kunin mo ha" and from there I was somewhat out of my mind,I had another second thought that this might be a scam or something--but it's NOT!as in,oh my gosh...I'm gonna see Katy up front!!

I was so close from crying as it happened too fast; rather, medyo nawala lang ako sa sarili.Haha I'm not prepared!! But definitely,I have to enjoy this opportunity and thus, here we go with the concert proper! ;D

Me lately.

Sunday, February 11, 2018

My first post for 2018---and so far, life has been busier than ever!

To be honest, I really found it difficult to write after feeling very disappointed over the last few days of 2017. I wasn't heartbroken or anything but it was related to my career and I felt so disheartened that I even want to give up already. In fact, I almost did as I shove all my review materials away for about 2 weeks and went on a staycation at Subic. Hence, I started this year with quite a clean slate. I have set-up my annual goals and one of which would be for me to stay FIT.

So I joined a fitness club recently and it has made me become a health freak. LOL. Actually, I did turned conscious with my weight since stress-eating has made me friggin' gain a lot! Likewise, I hate to be called 'chubby' 🙄 that is why I decided to go on a work-out. Though it wasn't just about the way I look but going to the gym lately gave me positive vibes inspite of an exhausting workout program . Plus, I had the chance to finally dance again as there are dancing programs which is really fun. This preoccupied my mind from the negativity and I'm very happy about it; It made me decide to give that failure I had to give it another go.But this time?I have to do it with NO PRESSURE!

A lot would be asking then about what the failure was or the workout routine I have. Well 1) it's NOT a board exam and 2) I'll discuss further about this fitness stuff soon but currently, I am still adapting to it ;) But for now,let me just share the newest addition to my favs (as mentioned on my previous post): Maria Poonlertlarp aka Miss Universe Thailand 2017!! I have been following her updates even if most of her events are in Thai but her captions are in English anyway.Haha! Nevertheless, she's so pretty that it'll be a big challenge to look for her next successor on this year's pageant. ;)

'til then!
