Words can't explain how much this year has been well-achieved and a success. It has been a year of teary-eyed moments, goals achieved and of course,"I never thought of..." events ;") So here it goes!

Last Dec 13 (Saturday), me and my crazy crew went to Kpub BBQ at Trinoma for Sophie's pre-birthday celebration. It's been awesome that we've seen each other again after a month of RN duties. And not only that, it was also our 3rd year of becoming the CREW barkada ;D

Nothing much has really happened last month aside from my first duty experience as a "Registered Nurse"(RN). It was a 2-week exposure at the hospital where we got assigned as a either a Staff nurse, a ward clerk or an Auxilliary aide for the day. I got assigned in an OB-Gyne ward which is more of a women/pediatric extension ward since there is another ward for the real pregnant and post-partum patients. The exposure taught me a LOT. Forget the lax duty hours but this is real work already! Expect the hectic work even if I had an experience of handling 4 or more patients before---this time is different.Haha.Like on our first day of 'Nurse work', we kinda finished late with just handling ONE patient! So there ya have it, the "newbie effect"---nakakapanibago as I could say. The whole shift is a work of charting and carrying out doctor's orders and medications. But I believe that work will be fine once you get used to the hospital's system. It's just a matter of adjusting to the new environment for now.
Anyway,I had a fun time with my group aka Team JessyJ as we call ourselves during the 10 days training. :)
The girls of team JessyJ plus our clinical instructor, Ma'am Lyka :)
And here is the whole pic of batch 2 ❤️
We went out at Metrowalk for shots after our case presentation day.It was pretty much, the first time that I hanged out with my co-trainees as well.
Then last Monday we had a girls' day out at Trinoma and had lunch at WingStop.
yumyum boneless Teriyaki wings.I'd loved to try the other flavors next time! :D
So that's what I've been up to last time. I'm currently back on vacation while waiting for thatgolden call. Well, it's bound to arrive on the right time! #tiwalalang ;)
In the meantime, check out this mash-up of the year by Dj Earworm called "Do What You Wanna Do".

This entry is specifically for my relatives and friends---and for those who'd like to give me a gift this christmas ;p Though as much as possible,please...NO STUFFED TOYS. I have too much of it in my room already.Hence, here's a list of some gift choices for yours truly.Mind you, these items exceed from P1K-1.5K below. And these items excludes clothes and gadgets because they are very pricey and hard to choose when it comes to the clothes.
Any Rillakuma item from HAPPYLAND.From pouches, bags, notebooks but NOT the stuffed toy.The store is located at SM North EDSA,2nd floor beside Book Sale.
instax mini 25 polaroid film. Here's a sample from the fujifilm site: film samples. Either the comic, shiny star or pink dot design is much preferred. But if there are other choices,I'd like a Rilakkuma,Little Twin Star or a Hello Kitty film set instead.Haha :DDD
make-up bags from FOREVER 21.Check out the designs HERE.Any of the designs would do and I assure most of them are available in all branches here in Manila.
"HELLLP Ayoko na Sa Syota Ko" by Ramon Bautista.

My apologies for taking too long to post another entry this month. Like I said last time, I became busy with my training to the hospital that I applied to. I had my first 2 days of duty last Mon-Tues and it was good :) I was assigned in an Onco-Surgical ward. It was my first time to handle cancer patients as well---and a first time to handle foreign patients! But as a trainee and a first timer, all I did during the shift were clerk work.Though sometimes I get to assist my mentor staff with the procedures. So there goes my #dutyduties experience for now. My next training will be around next month so currently, I'm on a break ;D
Anyhow,I was still able to witness the things that I've been looking forward to inspite of the busyness in training.

Every blogger seems to have this particular entry about their latest style so I would like to create my own and call it as "The Petite's Trend".This is gonna be all about 'anything-goes-random' from the things I bought, my pastimes, and what I have been up to all throughout the month. So,here it goes!

I've been attending events for the past 2 weeks and I'm so overwhelmed that each of it was with my favorites ❤️ My whole month of August has become so much fun and fearless at the same time! Fearless as I took my IV Therapy training at Capitol Medical Center and it went well. I hated IV injections and I was even so scared to be pricked by it.Yet I suddenly overcome my fears at it as my partner on the training pricked me twice! Hahaha :)) My veins on my hands were quite hard to detect that's why the nurse supervisor suggested to prick me on both hands. I did not mind about it,though. I took it as an experience and went fine. Nonetheless, I look forward to more of my RN trainings soon! :D "let the right job arrive to you on the right moment. #notetoself"

Me and my family spent the weekend at Clark, Pampanga where we watched the Vios Cup Race 2 at Clark Speedway. It was my first time to watch a race car competition and I never thought this would be fun! Although what makes it more fun was that my favorite is part of the race!Haha :) But I really do enjoyed the event even if I'm not a fan of cars.Yet I'm quite familiar with the Vios as I've been attending several Toyota events since last year.

I went to Jessie J's concert at the SMART Araneta Colliseum last July 14 and it was a blast! I did not expect that she would throw up a disco-kind of concert!! :) Her first set would definitely make you stand up even if you're not at the patron to dance near the stage.Haha. I only know the songs that she released but after the concert, I had a lot of new favorites from her. I currently like "Sexy Lady" and "Calling All Hearts" which are part of the first set. Plus,I also started to like "Who You Are" because of the meaningful lyrics of it(I did not even know that it's her song!Haha!).I adore the chorus so much ❤️ it goes: "Don't lose who you are in a blur of the stars.seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,it's okay not to be okay.Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart. But tears won't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising, just be true to who you are" ;") I wished I could have taken a video of that performance. However, I have a few clips from the concert (pardon me for the poor and shaky quality). Some of the videos also were taken through my phone so it was really blurry;but I just really have to upload it.

June 27,2014.I passed the NLE board!! :""")
I really didn't expect this to happen after all my lapses during the exam days.Believe me, my NLE experience was not ordinary at all.It was time pressure and my clumsiness that led me into nervous breakdowns every end of the exam.It pulled me down to be hopeless--though i chose NOT TO.I say to myself that I need to stay positive no matter what,I believe that I did my best and really think of the answers and lastly,I don't think that it's just me who have lapses.Sabi nga sa min nung review,"kami ngang mga lecturer na nagka-discrepancy sa exam sheet, pumasa pa din eh."Indeed, anyone can pass with confidence and trust.
As a board-passer,I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone extensively aside from the status I made on Facebook.Haha I was in utter joy and surprise while I posted that :)) So anyway..

It's been 3 weeks of laid back lifestyle and so far, I'm enjoying it. :) The first few days of it was kind of surreal adjusting thyself from being a busy person. To me,it wasn't boring after all; I often go out with my family and friends and even if I stay home at most times,I fill myself in with activities that can divert from boredom.Namely, these are actually things that I did not have the time for when I was busy in the academics.lol.Here's a few to share:
Monday, June 16, 2014
I'm back! :) This is the first June that I'm no longer dreading it as a 'back-to-school' month anymore!hahaha.I find it surreal though I remember back in the days,I used to rush over to my classes and wait for it to end.And now here I am,job-seeking and having my anxiety temperature risen for the results.I bet every board-taker feels this way but indeed, you need to relax, unwind and have a positive mind about it.Have faith and pray fervently!.I have been spending the time with my family and friends lately and it was awesome. :) Yet when I get bummed at home,I just read a book or watch some shows.Perhaps I could share on my next entry about my temporary laid-back situation. ;)
So anyway, last Thursday(060514),me and my friend had a hang-out at Shangri-la Mall and watched "The Fault In Our Stars".I read this John Green book last January and this was like the second book that made me cry.Seeing it on the big screen now is more touching than ever (especially the last part)!❤️ It's awesome on how they depict the roles from the book. The plot was unique as well--not the ordinary love story,I should say but it's not because the characters are terminally-ill.Imagine a loved one who already prepared a eulogy before he died?Or a loved one who would help you to go to Amsterdam just to meet your favorite author? That's true genuine love!!Hahaha :) Likewise,it has the right type of 'cheesy' in a romance film. You guys should watch it if you haven't yet!(and prepare some tissues 'cause it certainly is a tear-jerker.Haha!) Do read the book as well for at the end,you might catch yourself quoting a lot of good sayings to it.Lets say,"I always thought that the world is a wish-granting factory"?❤️
We had dinner at Johnny Rockets..
Rocket Singles with unlimited fries!
Then we went to Serenitea in which we admire its interior with its 'bird-cage' chairs.Pretty much, you can consider it as a good place to chill.
aaannddd that's about it for now!I was supposed to post this last week but unfortunately,I'm not having a stable internet at home ;| However,I'll manage to post my entries as soon as possible!
'til then! ;)

ASAP indeed! Ughh I hate it that I wasn't able to make more entries lately.I thought I could make it up last time but unfortunately,I couldn't because of busyness(board review). But hopefully, this will get paid out very soon.Having said that, I've been pressured and nervous all rolled into one. ;0 Oh anyway, here's a quick throwback of our Magic grad party at Hyve last March 28...
It was fun partying with the Magic Dj's then! :) It was also Andi Manzano's birthday that time so yep,it's a double celebration.I hope it will happen again next time. Haha. That whole time was one heck of a YOLO-night! ;D
'til then!I hope to blog again reaaaal soon ;)

It's been a week from Hogwart's Day aka Graduation and it feels great and reminiscing! Yes, my 4 years in college has come to an end. Though in Nursing, we had 2 graduation days last week: Clinical Grad and University Grad.
The clinical grad (March 25) is a commencement ceremony after completing a thousand hours of RLE duties since we started during 2nd year college.Oh I remember the moment when we just had our capping ceremony last 2011...
Then last 2013, I became an usherette on the said event..
Me and Kristine, doing selfies during the 2013 clinical grad (lol)."i wonder how will it be by the time our batch reaches that point?"
And yet, here we are!Wearing gala uniforms and the Paulinian nurse's cap.
Me with my crazy crew, clinical graduation style!Haha ;D
It has been a great accomplishment after moments of travel-duties,graveyard shifts, community immersion and intensive practicum.I also received a certificate for being part of the BSN cheering squad---THAT is what i can never ever forget! "we run the world like n-u-r-s-i-n-g NURSING!♥
March 26.The day after that was the University Grad.We stayed at the school gym for 8 hours from Baccalaureate Mass to the Commencement Exercises--having said that the heat was immense! But anyway, the event was well worth it.Thank God I have made it this far. :')
Now this is my crazy crew, university graduation style!! :))
Do check out my facebook and instagram for more pics with my other college friends.Indeed, my college alma mater gave me a new life as I used to say before. I remember how excited I was when I first entered there: Chemistry was our first class on that very first day and I even got lost in looking for the classroom(the Chem. lab).Haha! That was also the moment when I met the new people--my blockmates.I actually gotten to know some of them from Facebook already especially the ones I met during the orientation.Haha.And that's where cliques started to form in class. The first clique that I have gotten into were avid in going to Gateway or Mcdonald's (courtesy of the school's Mcdo Shuttle Service). At some point, I thought I was going to eat chicken fillets forever!.LOL. Then as time passed by, I moved on to another clique. It was called 'IZUNIA' which was derived from the second letter of our names :)We used to be a fun group, but it fell apart as some of us became closer to another clique and one shifted from another course. However, I stayed in touch with the one who shifted because she was my closest friend on our group. Soon enough, I'm on a different clique again together with my other closest friend from "IZUNIA".So yeah, I really tend to hang-out with different groups in class rather then settling myself to a permanent group of friends. Because with a permanent group, it has always been a 'one for all-all for one' decision and I do not like it that way.Hence, I always have different partners when it comes to dyad activities...until me and my other closest friend surprisingly jives up with my point of view(and vice-versa).Okay,too much about friend stuffssss :p
It was not only my blockmates who formed my life way back then. Happily, I get to join the cheering squad for the College Freshman Society (CFS)and there, I also get to meet new people from different courses. I never thought that I'd still be dancing throughout my college life! On my 2nd year, I get to join the BSN cheerdance squad aka The Real Life Champions. This is where I met my older fellow schoolmates from Nursing. I knew I was a dope at first but thanks to them, they have taught me to do stunts and improved my dancing skills.I cannot believe that I learned how to do cartwheels, backrolls and other skills. Those after-duty practices had certainly build up my confidence and how to balance my time amidst the academics.
At first, I was thrilled to learn my major subjects from the course.I find it very interesting to learn more about the human body from Anatomy to maternal and child until...shit happened on Medical-Surgical.It was supposed to be exciting to learn further about body diseases; but with an unattractive approach of teaching(Say,sharing life experiences instead of referring to the book)?I don't think a single concept could be retained then!It is hard doing self-study on vague terms. Maybe that's why I cannot even manage to finish one chapter of the book! Thus, I started to lack interest on the subject. Then eventually, I hated it when we needed to apply it at the OR---then I hate it even more(or perhaps, the MOST) when we studied about Acute Biologic Crisis and had an exam on it.ughh.I started to despise my course since then like the pressure is on from our cut-off grade and the overflowing requirements.I had no choice of shifting since my full hatred began between my 3rd and 4th year.Though on the other hand, I adore my minor subjects instead. And yes, I enjoyed my minor subjects very much especially the social subjects :D Thank you to the CASE faculty for their kindness and support. They are the best professors, I should say.Haha! Aside from the subjects,I would also not forget our #TEAMFLOATING days on our thesis! We started from 9 balls and ended with 9 balls. Ergo, that's consistency marks the spot! ;p
So my college life has been filled with love-hate situations that lead to new point of views. At the end, I had the craziest crew friends.I have gone to places I have never been and perhaps, I did things that I never thought I could. The duty exposures has fed up all my curiosities on being a nurse. My college bucketlist would have had a lot of check marks if I had made one from the start! And that is something to be proud of.A Paulinian created by the image and likeness of God. :') Although, this ain't the end for my nursing journey yet! There is still, the deadly board exam.
So yeah, I might remain idle here again on the coming days. But I'll try to make more new entries soon!
'til then!! CONGRATS TO US ALL, BATCH 2014!!!!

Okayyyy, lets recap from January where my Intensive Nursing Practicum started.Basically,my year of clinical duty started with a lot of travelling(or shall we saying touring perhaps!). I had a duty in a health center,a school, community immersion part 2 and our hospital duty at Cavite.
For January,we had our individual duty scheds on different areas.Going solo flight is very nerve wrecking at first---let alone, you need to prepare a health teaching and some other activities for your assigned area.Though one of the good perks there is that 1)there's no call time and 2)NO CLINICAL INSTRUCTORS.hahaha! On the first two weeks,i was assigned at Industrial Valley Health Center, Marikina City. Duties at the community are always lax;Yet,this one's even LAX-ER as it seems! As in,we spent most of the time there eating and looking over mild cases of patients. But the lax hours break down during Measles vaccination day.Pretty much, vaccining the kids for anti-measles has been the highlight of my stay there! :) Moving on,I was assigned at St. Mary's College QC for school nursing on the last 2 weeks of the month. My duty there has been my most favorite duty experience since I adore interacting with kids :)It was nice getting to know the staff as well and even if there are physical exams everday,I still enjoyed it because that's the time where I get to talk with the students (mind you, they are friendly.haha!).Until now, i do miss addressing each and everyone as 'Madam' from that school.haha ;p
February 'til March has been a month of out-of-town duties. On the first week,we returned to Bagac,Bataan for our 2nd dose of community immersion. This time, we had a different set of foster families as we implement our program. We taught them how to have their own business such as making pastillas and manicure/pedicure. Of course, the home remedies for common illnesses are also taught to them.On our last day there, we conducted a medical/dental mission which was chaotic.Let alone, almost all families lined in for a check-up!
The week after was the start of our intensive hospital nursing at St. Paul Hospital Cavite. We stayed there for a month every 4 days a week!I had this homesick feeling at first but I get to recover it as thankfully,my crazy crew were my roommates!! ;D So it has always been fun bonding with them after duty. Well moving on,we had a 12-hr shift there as I got assigned from a semi-private ward, payward,OR and ER.As usual, the morning shift(6am-6pm) has always been the busiest especially in the wards. However, the wards are usually filled with mild cases only (unless if it's in the medical ward). And another thing that's mild and lax is about my duty at the OR on a graveyard shift!(6pm-6am)We never had a single major case for 4 days!!So it was not really our fault why we had time to nap during the night shift.Though even if were lax,I still don't like that kind of shift; It makes me feel anxious having the thought of being alert and awake throughout the night.hashtag damaged body clock. On the last week of duty,I was at the ER and likewise,it was pretty mild (again).Haha!Unlike other hospitals in the city, the ER used to be crowded but in here,it was so mild you could spend the whole duty packing some sponges instead!Hahaha :)) Yet I enjoyed my duty there since the staff taught us more about hands-on nursing procedures.
So there goes my last dose of duty-duties!! THANKFULLY,I'M DONE WITH IT AFTER 3 YEARS!!! It's been an adventure as we head from north to south and to many other places in Manila.
'til then! I'll post the pics soon.Stay tuned for my college-ending entry! ;)

Who would have thought a pink panda exists?! Well not literally but it certainly is a pinky fine-dining cuisine! Last Saturday (021514), me and my friend had dinner in this resto called Pink Panda which is located at 4687 Santiago Street Corner B. Valdez Street, Poblacion, Makati City.
polaroid shoot with the panda buns :))
We actually had a hard time finding the place since we aren't familiar with the busy streets of Makati! Moreover, the place is below Y2 Residence hotel which is near A-venue Mall. My friend found out about this as she heard that this is one of Erwan Heussaff's newest ventures. And as we saw this panda-looking buns,we decided to try it. :)
As I was mentioning earlier, Pink Panda is a Southeast Asian Diner created by Erwan Heussaff together with the Hatch 22 group. It features a fusion of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Filipino food. The place is not exactly filled with panda stuff or anything pink (though they do have a few pink decors) but the whole ambiance is more on bamboo and retro panda art on the walls. So here's what we ordered:
Pink Panty(P110). I have no idea why it was named like that but it tasted as good as a red iced tea.Haha ;p
General P's Chicken (P270). Orange chicken with dried chilies and fried peanuts
Pink Panda Rice (P180).Yellow rice with bits of chicken, Chinese sausage and lettuce topped with chips. And I do find this similar to Yang chow fried rice, yum!! :)
Panda Buns (P220).Yummy, cute pork panda-shaped buns that you would feel awe to eat for!
Since it was too cute,we even took a selfie with it!!lol.
Here's to that feeling when you're going to eat a cute little treat.Hahaha♥
You guys go try it!!It is certainly,a must!Check out Pink Panda Diner or @pinkpandamanila for more info :)
polaroid shoot with the panda buns :))

I'd like to introduce this wonderful collection of armbraids from Rastaclats.
taken at Titan store,Two Parkade branch
Rastaclat (rah-stuh-claht): the cloth of the righteous.Rastaclat is dedicated to the spirit of Spreading Positive Vibrations® encouraging individual style, a sense of positivity and freedom of expression. The brand originated at Long Beach, California that sells hand-made accessories of fine quality. They create belts and bracelets made out of hemp or shoelaces.Plus, several of their designs are inspired from famous icons which makes it even cooler! :)
So when I was at Titan, I bought 2 pieces of the bracelets: turquoise and namo(blue & purple) design. The prices depend on the design so I chose two of my favorite colors (and I could've bought a camo one if only it was available.Haha!).
Check out www.rastaclat.com for more of their products. You can buy their products in any Titan outlets here in Manila.Just follow @titan_22 on Twitter for more details :)
